The construction of this building, which is still unknown today, took exactly 10 years. According to the narrative, where the Colosseum is located today, there was the palace of the Dynasty. In a popular uprising, it was decided to build the Coliseum instead of the palace that was set on fire. When the building was completed, opening ceremonies were organized for 100 days and 100 nights. Even though good things come to mind when we talk about the opening ceremony, the deaths of hundreds of people and thousands of animals within the scope of these ceremonies were watched as a navigational material.
Although the Colosseum, which is considered the best example of Roman architecture in the world, continues to exist as a relic due to earthquakes and various reasons, it continues to fascinate almost everyone who sees it with its magnificent lighting and magnificent stance. The Colosseum, with 80 entrances, has a capacity to accommodate a total of 50,000 people. The seating arrangement in the Colosseum is arranged according to social classes. The nobles were the closest to the area where the demonstrations were held, and the slaves sat far away from the area.

Let us come to the purpose of use of this world-famous structure. As it is known, gladiator wars, which are a reflection of the perverse entertainment concept of the period, were carried out in this structure, namely the Colosseum. Gladiators, consisting of prisoners of war and slaves, were trained in gladiatorial schools and, when the order came, they were fought in the field so that the King could have fun to create a struggle for themselves with small betting games. This style of entertainment was so adopted that the gladiators were honored to serve the king as they perished after this relentless war. These wars followed by the people and the king screaming with joy were not only among the gladiators. In many historical sources, it is also mentioned that gladiators trained for weeks are sometimes fought with predators.
